The Golden Rule: Do Not Thaw!

For the best texture, always cook your pupusas straight from frozen.

The Authentic Way

Skillet or Comal

THE AUTHENTIC WAY

  • Preheat a lightly oiled non-stick skillet or cast iron over medium heat.
  • Place frozen pupusas in the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes.
  • Flip and cook for another 3-5 minutesuntil the outside is deeply golden and cheese begins to ooze.

The Crispy Shortcut

Air Fryer

THE CRISPY SHORTCUT

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place frozen pupusas in a single layer (don't overlap).
  • Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.

  • Precaliente un sartén de teflón o hierro fundido ligeramente aceitado a fuego medio.
  • Coloque las pupusas congeladas en el sartén y cocine por 3-5 minutos.
  • Voltee y cocine por otros 3-5 minutoshasta que el exterior esté dorado y el queso comience a salir.

Atajo Crujiente

Freidora de Aire

ATAJO CRUJIENTE

  • Precaliente su freidora de aire a 375°F (190°C).
  • Coloque las pupusas congeladas en una sola capa (sin encimarlas).
  • Cocine por 6-8 minutos, volteándolas a la mitad del tiempo, hasta que estén crujientes.
